Hear Traditional Hawaiian Stories in Kailua, HI

If you’re looking for a fun and informative way to learn about and experience the culture and history of Hawaii, nothing tops our storytellers! When you book one of our Mea Ho’okipas (hosts), they arrive dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire and regale with you the fascinating stories of this beautiful land’s past.

They use Pono Kahua (props) like Ulu (breadfruit) and Ipu (water gourd) to bring the past to life and take you on a journey through the past! You learn the story of Ka’ūpulehu, a once a quiet fishing village that was devastated by lava, as well as the story of the visitation of the woman known as Pele to the uplands of Manuahi, both vital stories to the natives of Hawaii.
